왜떡쑥(국화과 왜떡쑥속) Gnaphalium uliginosum L.

댐 수변의 무허가 경작을 막기 위하여 댐에 물을 가득 채워서 작은 풀들이 자랄 방법이 없다.

장마가 시작되자 수문을 열어 물을 뺀 모양인지

수위가 조금 내려가면서 수변 가장자리가 드러나자 이제사 풀이 돋아나기 시작한다.

 

이 녀석을 조사할 일이 있어서 수변을 어정거리는데

물에 잠기지 않았던 풀밭을 뒤지니까 키큰 풀 속에 까치발로 겨우 얼굴 내밀고 꽃을 피웠다.

 

한 뼘도 안되는 여린 녀석이 키다리들 틈에 끼어서 고생이 많다.
