솜쑥방망이(국화과 산솜방망이속) Tephroseris pierotii (Miq.) Holub

석호 주변 습지 탐사 중에 노랗게 피어 있던 솜쑥방망이

예전에는 묵논에 쉽게 보였는데 요즈음은 이 녀석 만나기도 쉽지 않다.

 

얼마 전까지 이 녀석은 물솜방망이 Tephroseris pseudosonchus라 알려져 있었다.

 

물솜방망이 Tephroseris pseudosonchus 는 산지 습지에 사는 녀석이고

솜쑥방망이 Tephroseris pierotii (Miq.) Holub는 하천 가나 저지대 물통이 주변에서 볼 수 있는 녀석이다.

 

몇 해 전 꽃동무가 이에 대한 의문을 제기하였고 나도 중국과 일본의 자료를 확인해 본 결과이다.

두 종의 학명의 적용이 잘못되었다기 보다 그 실체가 바뀌어졌던 것이다.
