고소한 잣 열매 맛이 나는 이 녀석은 씨알이 잘아서 경제성이 없다.
수꽃화서도 밤나무 화서를 닮았는데 열매는 이듬해 익는다
암꽃화서는 가지 끝부분 엽액에 달린다
2년지 끝에 달린 어린 열매는 지난해 이맘 때 쯤 꽃이 피어 달린 녀석이다.
일년이 지난 열매인데 전혀 자라지 않아서 처음에는 이 녀석이 당해년에 열매가 익는 줄 알았다
