산닥나무(팥꽃나무과)1

누구나를 기대하던 대상을 처음 만나러 가는 길은 언제나 설렌다.

도로가 정체되어 가다가 서다가를 반복하였지만 그 설레임 때문에 별로 짜증도 나지 않는다.

이 녀석은 거문도닥나무보다 키가 더 크고많이 갈라진 가지 끝에서 여유롭게 꽃이 피고 있었다.

 

산닥나무는 국내에서도 몇 군데 서식을 하고 있다. 산과 계곡의 나무 밑에서 자라며 물기가 있는 비옥한 곳에서 잘 자란다고 한다

나무껍질과 뿌리의 섬유질은 종이의 원료로 사용하는데 녀석이 주로 절 주변에서 서식하고 있는 이유는

조선시대 종이를 만드는 일이 주로 절에서 이루어졌는데 그 재료를 채취하기 위하여 산닥나무를 들여와서 심었기 때문으로 추정하고 있다.

 

 

 

 

 

총상화서는 길이 2-15mm로서 황색 꽃이 7~15개 어린 가지 끝에서 핀다.

꽃은 양성으로서 7-8월에 피며 황색이고 꽃받침통은 길이 7-8mm이며 꽃받침잎은 4개로 털이 없다.

 

 

 

8개의 수술이 2줄로 배열되고 꽃밥은 황색이며 암술은 1개이고 자방은 도란형으로서 대가 있다.

화관 입구에 4개의 수술 꽃밥이 관찰되는데 자세히 보면 화관 중간 쯤 노란색이 비쳐 나오는 게 보인다

8개 중 나머지 4개의 수술은 화관 안쪽에 있음을 짐작할 수 있다.

잎은 대생하며 길이 1.5~6.0m, 나비 1~3cm로서 막질이고 난형 또는 긴 타원형이며 예두이고 원저 또는 예저이며 톱니가 없고

양면에 털이 없으며 표면은 황록색이고 뒷면은 회록색이며 엽병은 길이 2mm정도이다.

 

 

 

 

 

장과는 난상 긴 타원형이며 양끝이 좁고 길이 5-6mm로서 털이 없으며 짧은 대가 있고 9-10월에 익는다.

줄기는 몇 개로 갈라져 자라고 잔가지가 많은데 수피는 황갈색이며 소지는 털이 없고 가늘며 적갈색이다.
