국가표준식물목록에 애기모람, 왕모람, 모람의 국명과 학명이 정리가 되었다.
여태 왕모람으로 부르던 이 녀석 추천국명이 애기모람으로 바뀌어서 다소 혼란을 가져 오긴 했지만
이제사 제대로 자리를 잡은 것은 잘 된 일이다.
모람: Ficus oxyphylla Miq. ex Zoll.
애기모람: Ficus thunbergii Maxim.
왕모람: Ficus pumila L.
애기모람은 제주도 숲에서나 돌담에서 흔하게 자라고 있다.
애기 모람의 열매가 모람보다 약간 크지만 구형이다.
왕모람은 열매 형태가 구형이 아닌 중국 배 열매나 나무 팽이 형태의 원뿔형이다.
이 녀석이 왕모람으로 불리던 애기모람이다.
어린 잎은 결각 형태의 톱니가 있다
