애기모람(뽕나무과 무화과속) 열매

모람 열매는 흔하게 담았지만 애기모람 열매를 본 적이 없어서 언제 볼까 안달을 했다.

제주도에 내려 가서는 다른 녀석들 찾아 다니느라고 애기모람은 까맣게 잊어 버리니...

아니 애기모람 열매를 찾아 다닐 시간 여유가 없었다는 게 맞겟다.

 

이번에는 다른 녀석들 보다 애기모람 열매는 꼭 찾아봐야겠다고 우선 순위에 두고

예전에 지나쳐 봤던 애기모람이 있는 곳에 도착을 했다.

 

돌담 위에 묵은 가지가 제법 어우러져 있는 애기모람을 뒤지는데 열매라고는 보이지 않는다.

 

 

 

그 주변의 돌담도 마찬가지이고....다른 곳으로 이동해야 겠다고 차를 돌리려는데..

소나무 기둥을 타고 애기모람 덩굴이 올라가 있는 게 보인다.

가지가 더 풍성한 걸 보니 분명 열매가 있을 것 같아서 아래쪽 가지를 들추는데.

 

으아~~!! 열매다아~~!!

소리 지르고 팔딱 팔딱 뛰고....ㅋㅋ...누가 봤더라면 정신 나간 여자인 줄 알겠다. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

야호~!!! 신나라~!

그 옆의 다른 소나무에도 열매가 주렁주렁이다.

이렇게 찾으면 될 것을 보이지 않는다고 투덜거리기만 했구먼.

 

 

 

 

 

물잎물 꽃을 보고자 급히 내려갔는데 한 달도 안 되는 사이에 꽃이 거의 다 져버리고 겨우 끝물 몇 송이만 보고 왔다.

그래도 왕모람 열매를 찾은 기쁨으로 물잎풀에 대한 보상을 받은 셈이다.

 

모람에 비하여 잎은 작지만 열매가 크기 때문에 <왕>이란 접두어를 덜게 되었다더니 역시 열매가 크다.

열매 지름이 구 동전 10원짜리 크기에 가깝다.

 

 

 

 

 

헌데 이 녀석은 열매라기 보다는 무화과속의 과낭으로

암수딴그루로 열매가 익는 암화낭과 좀벌이 알을 낳아서 번식을 하는 수화낭이 있다

겉으로 봐서는 암화낭과 수화낭의 구분이 어렵다는데....

열매는 암화낭이 성숙하여 지름 2~2.5cm 로 자라서 이듬해 10~1월에 익는다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

열매 표면에는 부드러운 털이 덮여 있었다.

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

잎은 모람보다 작고 잎맥이 패여 있으며 이꼬리가 길지 않다.

 

 

 

잎은 두텁고 잎 뒷면 맥 위에 갈색 털이 밀생한다.

 

 

 

측맥은 4~6쌍으로 표면에는 털이 있다가 사라지며 뒷면에는 털이 밀생한다

 

 

 

 

 

돌담이나 바위 수목을 감고 자라는데 어린 잎은 2~3개의 결각성 거치가 있다.

 

 

 

수피는 암갈색으로 어린 가지에는 갈색의 부드러운 털과 옆을 뻗은 털이 밀생한다.
