잎은 모람보다 더 작고 광택이 없으며
열매는 모람(1cm) 보다 더 큰 지름 2cm 이다.

지난 10월에 봐 두었던 왕모람 열매를 찾으니 한쪽 나무의 열매는 벌써 다 익어서 직박구리 녀석이 거의 속을 다 파먹었고
한쪽은 아직 푸른색을 띠고 있어서 직박구리가 건드리지 않았다.

잎 가장자리가 뒤로 말리며 잎맥이 오목하게 들어 간다
뒷면의 잎맥이 돌출되어 있고 어린 줄기는 잔털이 있다.
