대가래(가래과 가래속)

대가래가 좁은 수로에 어떻게 자리잡게 되었는지 모르겠다

대가래는 좀더 넓은 하천에서 살아야하는데 말이다. 

아마도 수초를 심을 때 묻어 들어 오지 않았을까 싶다.

 

 잎몸은 넓은 선형으로 길이 9~14cm, 폭 2cm가량이다. 잎 끝은 갑자기 뾰족해지며, 잎맥은 17~25개다.

턱잎은 길이 약 3mm, 끝은 둥글다. 꽃은 7~8월에 길이 3~5cm의 이삭꽃차례에 달린다
