나사말(자라풀과 나사말속)

출장 중 시간이 나서 금호 강변을 둘러 봤다. 나사말 때문에.

며칠 전 씨잘 데 없는 가을비가 많이 내리는 바람에 물이 불어 나서 사나말 서식만 확인하고 멀찌감치서 몇장 퍽퍽 담기만 하였다.

내년에 다시 꽃을 담으러 내려와야 하겠다. 안동 인근에도 찾아보면 이 녀석 있을 법한데.....

목록을 보니 낙동나사말이란 녀석이 또 있던데...두 녀석의 차이가 뭘까 궁겁다.

 

말 종류는 수꽃이 몸체에서 떨어져 나와서 물위에 떠다니다가 암꽃을 만나서 수매를 하는데

이 녀석도 길다란 화경 끝에 암꽃이 피고 수꽃을 만나서 수매가 끝이 나면 화경이 나사처럼 돌돌 말려서 물 아래로 가라 앉게 된다.

 

 

 

몇 년 전 남한강변에서 만났던 나사말 암꽃이다.

화경이 말리지 않은 녀석은 아직 수정이 되지 않은 녀석이고 화경이 돌돌 말려 있는 것은 수정이 끝난 녀석이다
