생이가래(생이가래과 생이가래속)

마디에 잎이 3개씩 윤생하는데 그 중 2개는 대생하여 물위에 뜨는 부수엽으로서 중륵과 측맥이 있으나

1개는 물속에 잠기며 잘게 갈라져서 양분을 흡수하는 뿌리의 역할을 한다
