강계큰물통이(쐐기풀과 물통이속)

평안북도 강계와 함경남도 삼수 지역에서 자란다는데 강원도와 전북 지역 큰 산에서 자생하고 있음이 확인되었다.

 

강계큰물통이는 제주물통이와 흡사한 녀석인데 잎 양면에 털이 있는 점에서 제주물통이와 구분이 된다.

이 녀석은 강원도에서 본 녀석보다 털의 분포가 현저하게 떨어지지만 지난 해의 관찰에 의하면 양면에 털이 꽤 보였더랬다.

화피편도 자방보다 길다는 것이 관찰되었다.

그러면 이 녀석도 제주보다는 강계에 가깝다고 볼 수 있는데.....

 

그런데 제주물통이 자체가 과연 강계큰물통이와 확실하게 분류할 수 있는가 하는 의문이 아직 존재한다.

 

물통이보다 더 큰 녀석으로 3-4쌍의 둔한 톱니가 있다. 표면의 털이 드물게 나타난다.

암수한그루로 화서가 잎겨드랑이에서 화서가 나온다.

강계큰물통이는 화서에 2개의 수꽃이, 자화서에 1-2개의 꽃이 달리며 대가 없고 화피열편은 3개로서 그 중 2개는 길며 자방과 길이가 비슷하다.

제주큰물통이는 화서에 1개의 수꽃이 달리며 대가 없고 화피열편은 열매보다 약간 짧다.
