개물통이(쐐기풀과 개물통이속)

모시풀속에 비하여 잎가장자리가 밋밋한 소형이다.

물통이속을 연상하면 퉁퉁한 줄기나 잎을 떠올리게 되겠지만 이 녀석은 생각 보다 물통이 쪽 이미지 와는 좀 다르다.

다만 전초가 연약하고 줄기가 연질이라 잘 부러지는 점에서는 공통점이 있다.

 

예전 자료에 이 녀석을 줄기의 털을 퍼진 털로 보고 칠보개물통이라 했는데 걍 개물통이로 봐야 할 것 같다

꽃은 잡성으로 8월에 피며 녹색이고 엽액에 2-3개씩 달리며 양성화와 수꽃의 화피가 3-4개로 깊게 갈라진다.

잎은 호생하며 얇은 난형이며 끝이 둔하고 밑부분이 둥글며 가장자리가 밋밋하고 표면은 짙은 녹색이며 양면에 부드러운 털이 있다.

열매는 수과로 난상 원형이며 길이 1.5mm정도로서 흑색의 윤채가 있으며 포에 싸여 있다.

높이 15-30cm이며 줄기에 잔털과 선모가 밀생하고 연하다.

아래쪽에서 가지가 많이 갈라지며 짧고 굽은 털이 밀생한다
