쑥부쟁이는 약간 습한 기운이 있는 곳을 좋아한다.
개쑥부쟁이나 가새쑥부쟁이는 흔하게 보이지만 야생의 쑥부쟁이는 제주도에서만 보았다.
쑥부쟁이의 서식지 분포에 대한 정보를 보면 남부지방으로 되어 있다.
그러니 중부 이북에서 쑥부쟁이라 올린 걸 보면 거의 대부분 가새쑥부쟁이를 잘못 올려 두고 있다.
이 곳의 쑥부쟁이도 자생이 아니고 야생화 공원을 조성하면서 심어놓은 것이다.
낙동강 고수부지에 백조들이 있다기에 백조를 보러 갔다가 자료로 요모 조모 담아 왔는데
쑥부쟁이 열매에 관모를 제대로 실펴 본 적이 없었는데 가새쑥부쟁이 보다도 관모가 더 짧은 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.
