돌해국(국화과 참취속) Aster asa-grayi Makino=>2021년 새로운 연구에 의하여 섬갯쑥부쟁이의 오동정임이 보고되었다

이 녀석을 제대로 살피기 위해서 일부러 동쪽으로 빙 돌았다,

늦가을 성산일출봉을 멀리 두고 섬갯쑥부쟁이를 담을 수 있는 인기 있는 장소이다.

5 년 전 이 곳에 와 보고는 오랜만에 들렀더니 바닷가 쪽에 건물들이 많이 들어서 있다.

 

역시 제주도였다. 아직도 섬갯쑥부쟁이가 피고 있으니.

설상화와 통상화 열매의 관모 길이가 다른 녀석으로 갯쑥부쟁이, 섬갯쑥부쟁이가 있다.

아스터속을 전공하신 교수님의 이야기로는 갯쑥부쟁이와 섬갯쑥부쟁이의 차이점은 열매에 있다고 한다.

 

헌데 아스터속 석사학위 논문을 접한 결과

섬갯쑥부쟁이의 경우 9∼11월에 개화하여 열매를 맺거나 드물게 3∼4월에 개화하는 경우가 있고,
돌해국과 왕갯쑥부쟁이는 11월에 개화하여 다음해 4월에 열매를 맺는 유형으로 관찰되었다고 한다.

 

돌해국은 섬갯쑥부쟁이보다 개화 시기가 약간 늦고 설상화 관모의 길이가 통상화 관모 길이와 거의 비슷하고 갈색이라

갯쑥부쟁이, 섬갯쑥부쟁이의 설상화 관모와 다르다.

 

섬갯쑥부쟁이라 생각했던 이 녀석의 관모를 살펴본 결과 이 녀석이 바로 돌해국인 것 같다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 줄기잎은 주걱 모양으로 두껍고 길이 1.8~3.0cm, 폭 0.5~0.8cm, 끝은 둥글며 아래쪽은 줄기로 흐르며 가장자리는 밋밋하거나 톱니가 있다

 

 

 

 

줄기는 높이 10~60cm, 작년 가지는 옆으로 기고 새로운 가지는 곧추선다

 

 

 

 

 

 

헌데 ....이 녀석 설상화 관모가 짧아야 하는데 그렇지가 않다.

설샹화와 통상화 관모 길이가 같고 2월에 꽃을 피우고 있는 이 녀석이 바로 돌해국으로 보인다. 

 

 

 

열매는 수과,도란형, 길이 3.0~3.5mm, 폭 1.8~3.0mm, 가장자리에 털이 있다.

관모는 혀모양꽃이 관모양꽃보다 길다고 하는데 아마도 제대로 관찰이 안된 건지 설상화 관모가 잡히지 않았다

아니면 설상화 관모도 통상화관모길이와 비슷하다는 돌해국일 수도 있다.

 

 

 

혹시나 싶어서 채집해 온 종자를 하나 하나 다 살펴 봐도 관모가 짧은 열매가 한 알도 없다.
