계류 옆 숲에서 본 이 녀석은 줄기가 길게 늘어졌으며 전초에 가시가 없고 잎이 5소엽의 생소한 산딸기속이었다.
일행들은 그저 날개하늘나리를 찾아다니느라 정신이 없는데
숲 아래 초본들을 찬찬히 살피다가 붉은 열매 하나를 발견하고 다른이들에게 알려주자
그제사 몰려와서 찍는다고 어깨를 부딪힌다.
이미지로 산딸기속을 검색하여 찾아낸 학명은 Rubus pseudojaponicus 로
현지에서는 히메고요 딸기라 부르며 홋카이도에서 혼슈 중부와 북부에 이르는 산과 아고산 지대의 숲 가장자리에 있는 침엽수림과 습한 땅에서 자연적으로 자라는 일본 고유종이다.
덩굴이며 밑동이 뻣뻣하고 꽃이 피는 가지는 곧게 서서 높이 약 30cm,
흰 꽃 한 송이가 위로 피어나지만, 길이 약 8mm의 꽃잎 7개는 곧게 뻗어 평평하게 열리지 않는다는데, 꽃을 보지 못하여 아쉽다.
