2023. 7. 10~11. 북해도 소운쿄 온천지구 숙소 주변
새벽 4시부터 부지런을 떤 덕분에 숙소 주변의 숲에서 꽤 많은 식물을 접할 수 있었다.
이 녀석은 몽골에서 만났던 섬꽃마리속 Cynoglossum divaricatum 과 매우 흡사한 모습이었다.
헌데 이 녀석은 전초에 털이 많고 열매 전체에 돌기성 선모가 가득하여서 뚝지치나 돌지치속으로 확인해 봐야 한다
돌지치속 Lappula 은 비슷한 녀석이 안 보이고 뚝지치속 Hackelia 을 검색하니
캐나다 동부와 미국중서부와 동부에 분포한다는 Hackelia virginiana에 거의 접근한다.
왕꽃마리로 보인다는 꽃동무의 조언으로 찾아보니
이 녀석은 뚝지치속 Hackelia virginiana가 아니라
섬꽃마리속 왕꽃마리 Cynoglossum asperrimum Nakai로 최종 확인하였다.
한국, 쿠릴 열도에서 일본까지 분포하는 두해살이풀로 주로 온대 생물 군계에서 자란다.
숲속 습지에서 자라는 두해살이풀이다. 줄기는 비스듬히 위로 자라며, 높이 40~80cm, 가지를 치고, 전체에 길이 2mm 정도의 털이 있다. 이 종은 섬꽃마리에 비해 줄기의 털은 길이 1~2mm로 길며, 잎 표면에 난 털과 더불어 듬성하게 달리고 열매 겉의 털은 3.0~3.5mm로 길므로 다르다

열매의 선모가 분과 표면을 전체적으로 다 덮고 있다.
뿌리잎은 꽃이 필 때 마른다. 줄기잎은 어긋나며, 잎자루는 위로 갈수록 짧아진다.
잎몸은 타원형 또는 넓은 피침형으로 길이 10~20cm, 폭 2~6mm, 끝은 뾰족하고, 가장자리는 밋밋하다.
