단풍잎복분자(장미과 산딸기속) Rubus chingii H.H. Hu

작년에 열매를 본 후 올해는 꽃을 보고자 했지만 결국 시기를 놓쳤다.

여름같은 고온에 이 녀석들 꽃잔치가 벌써 끝나 버렸던 것을.............

 

2017년 국립생태원에서 전국자연환경조사 사업 수행 과정에서 발견이 되어 얼굴을 드러내게 된 것이다.

한국생물과학협회에서 주관하는 73회 정기학술대회(2018. 8. 22-. 24)에서 국내 미기록식물로 발표가 되었다.

이로써 일본 중국에만 자생한다는 이 녀석이 한국에도 자생하고 있음이 확인이 되었다.

 

잎이 장상으로 깊게 갈라진 모습이 단풍잎을 닮았다.

몇년 묵은 가지는 대부분 말라죽고 새로운 줄기가 자라나서 또 꽃을 피우고 있다.

줄기에는 복분자 줄기처럼 분백색가루가 덮고 있다. 그래서 국명에 복분자란 이름이 들어 가게 되는데,

이게 복분자딸기를 연상시켜 버리는 역효과를 가져오게 되었다.
