저수지의 수위가 낮아진 덕분에 물가에서 검정말 꽃을 만날 수가 있었다
빡빡한 일정으로 움직이느라고 많이 늦은 시각이었지만 용케도 꽃을 찾았다
검정말과 함께 이삭물수세미도 보인다
암수딴그루라는데 이 녀석은 암꽃이었다
암꽃은 엽액에 1개씩 달리며 처음에는 길이 1cm정도의 포 안에 들어 있으나 자방이 길게 자라서 밖으로 나와 물 위에서 핀다.
꽃받침, 꽃잎 및 헛수술이 각 3개이고 2개씩 갈라진 3개의 암술머리가 있으며 자방은 하위로서 대가 없고 1실이다.
수꽃은 잎겨드랑이에 바짝 붙어서 돌려나 있어서 마치 덩어리를 이루는 것 처럼 보이는데
포에 싸여 있던 수꽃이포가 벌어지면서 떨어져 나와서 물 위에 떠 다니다가 암꽃 주변에서 꽃가루를 터뜨려 수정을 시킨다
시간이 너무 늦어서 암꽃도 겨우 담았는데 수꽃을 관찰하지 못하여 아쉽다
잎은 3-8개씩 윤생하지만 대생하는 것도 있고 선형이며 1맥이 있고 길이 1~2cm, 폭 1.5~2mm로서 가장자리에 잔톱니가 있으며 끝이 뾰족하다.
