비목나무(녹나무과 생강나무속) Lindera erythrocarpa Makino

초연이 쓸~고 간 깊~은 계곡 깊은 계~곡 양지녘에~~♪ ♬

이 노래말은 비목과 다른 뜻이겠지만 비목나무를 쳐다 볼 때마다 이 노래가 떠오른다.

가을 붉은 열매가 마치 사랑의 열매처럼 생긴 비목나무가 노랗게 꽃을 피웠다.

붉은 열매를 보면  녹나무과임에 틀림 없지만 상록은 아니고 가을에 노랗게 단풍이 든다.

 

꽃은 이가화로서 4~5월에 잎보다 먼저 피고 연한 황색이며 햇가지 밑의 엽액에서 나온 산형화서에 많이 달리고 화경은 길이 6-8㎜이다.

수꽃은 6개로 갈라진 화피와 9개의 수술로 되어 있으며 수술은 밖에서 6개, 안에서 3개가 2줄로 배열되고

 안쪽의 것은 선체(腺體)가 2개씩 있으며 암꽃은 1개의 암술과 끝부분이 약간 굵어진 암술대가 있다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

잎은 호생하며 3출맥과 우상맥이 있고 가장자리가 밋밋한 도피침형이고 길이 6~13cm, 넓이 1.5-2.5㎝로서

잎표면은 윤태가 나고 뒷면은 녹백색이고 털이 있으나 점차 없어지며 엽병은 길이 4-8㎜로서 붉은빛이 돈다. 노란색 단풍이 든다.
