털조장나무(녹나무과 생강나무속) Lindera sericea (Siebold & Zucc.) Blume

전남 지역 산자락에 서식하는 녀석을 농장에 심겨진 모습으로 제주도에서 만났다.

마침 노랗게 꽃을 피우고 있었는데 촬영하면서 루뻬로 들여다 보니 암꽃이다.

 

딱 한 그루가 심겨져 있었는데 수그루가 없으니 평생 독수공방으로 후손을 남기지 못할 터라.

그 녀석 신세도 참 안쓰럽기는 하다만 언젠가 짝으로 수그루를 들여오지 않을까 싶다 

 

생강나무와 다른 점은 녹색의 가지를 가지고 잎은 갈라지지 않고 긴타원형이다.

 

 

잎눈을 가운데 두고 몇 개의 꽃눈이 피어서 잎눈을 목도리처럼 둘러싸듯이 노랗게 꽃을 피우는 모습이 인상적이다

 

 

6~8개의 화피편이 있고 암술 끝이 흰색 1개의 암술대가 있다.  암술대 아래 여러 개의 헛수술이 있다.

 

 

 

 

 

잎눈 아래 동그란 꽃눈이 달려 있다.
