히어리(조록나무과)

자생의 히어리를 만나다. 흐린 날씨로 목적하던 곳에서 꽃이 펴주기 않은 덕분에 보고싶어 하던 히어리 자생지로 한 시간을 더 이동하였다.

산자락이 개나리 꽃이 핀 듯, 생강나무 꽃이 핀 듯 히어리 노란 색으로 화사하기 그지 없다.

 

꽃은 4월에 선황색으로 피고 총상화서로 달려 드리운다. 화기에 화축은 길이 3~4cm이고 8~12개의 꽃이 달린다. 기부의 포는 장란형으로 막질이고 양면에 견모가 있으며 꽃의 포는 장란형으로 내면과 가장자리에 융모가 있다. 꽃받침조각, 꽃잎, 수술은 각 5개이다.

더듬이처럼 꽃밥이 없이 길게 빠져 나와 있는 2개의 암술이 보인다.
