돌앵초를 보러 간 두 번 째 양강진 탐사지에서 처음 만나는 쇠분취를 발견하는 큰 소득이 있었다.
눈 밝은 꽃동무가 풀 숲을 헤치다가 이게 뭐냐고 묻길래 다가 갔더니 낯이 선 녀석이라.
대장이 바로 국내 김박사한테로 전송하여 쇠분취란 답을 얻었다.
쇠분취는 국내에 처음 소개되는 분류군이라 대환영을 받았다.
귀국하여 정리하려는데 자료를 검색해도 이미지가 검색되는 게 없다.
국가표준식물목록에도 국명과 학명만 실려 있어서 조선식물지를 뒤져서 결국 기록을 찾아 내었다.
국내기관의 포털사에도 이미지 자료가 없는 걸 보니 이번 탐사의 큰 수확 중 손에 꼽히는 녀석이리라.
물골취도 찾으려 애를 썼는데 물골취 Saussurea stenolepis 가 큐에서는 국제적으로는 쇠분취의 이명으로 처리가 되었다.
결국 쇠분취를 통하여 물골취의 갈증을 해결했다.

| 물골취 Saussurea stenolepis Nakai 줄기는 높이 70~80㎝로서 줄기 기부에 갈색 섬유상의 묵은 엽병이 있다. 줄기는 단일하고 곧게서며 거미줄같은 털과 더불어 능선이 있으며 가지에 털이 많고 윗부분에서 가지가 갈라진다. 근경이 짧고 목질이다. 근생엽은 꽃이 필 때 쓰러지고 중앙부의 잎과 더불어 길이 10~17㎝의 엽병이 있다. 엽신은 달걀 모양 또는 난상 긴 타원형이며 끝이 뾰족하고 밑부분이 심장저이며 길이 6.5~9㎝로서 가장자리가 중앙까지 크게 갈라지지만 윗부분은 치아 모양 톱니로 되고 만부(灣部)는 둥글며 밋밋하고 열편은 다시 우상으로 갈라지며 예두이고 위로 올라갈수록 점아 작아지며 엽병이 없어진다. 열편은 삼각형 또는 달걀 모양으로 2~3개의 치아가 있으며 표면은 녹색으로서 젓꼭지 모양털 또는 짧은 털이 드문드문 있고 뒷면은 회록색으로 털이 거의 없다. 엽병은 길며 기부는 넓어져 줄기를 다소 감싼다. 줄기 상부의 잎은 피침형 또는 선형으로 엽병이 없다. 꽃은 8~9월에 개화. 머리모양꽃차례는 총상 또는 2~3회 총상으로 배열되고 지름 15㎜이며 줄기와 가지 끝에서 산방상으로 배열되고 홍자색이며 화경은 길이 1.5~4㎝이다. 포는 녹색이며 뒷면에 털이 약간 있다. 총포는 깔때기 모양이며 길이 18~20㎜이고 윗부분은 너비 12~15㎜, 중앙부는 너비 6~2㎜이며 총포조각은 4줄로 배열되고 거미줄털과 긴 털이 성글게 나며 외포편은 피침상 선형으로서 꼬리처럼 길고 중포편도 같은 모양이며 내표편보다 길어지는 수가 있다. 꽃은 모두 통상화로서 꽃부리는 홍자색이며 길이 11~12㎜이고 판통의 길이는 6㎜ 정도이다. 수과는 원주형으로 길이 5㎜가량이며 털이 없고 줄이 많으며 관모는 2줄이고 길이 11㎜이며 백색이고 털이 있으며 9~10월에 익는다. 한국(북부지방)과 중국, 러시아에 분포한다. |
