함백취(국화과 취나물속) Saussurea albifolia M. J. Nam & H. T. Im

몇 년동안 살펴보던 취나물속이 함백취란 이름을 얻어 생물자원관 학술지에 한국특산신종 발표가 되었다.

내가 발견한 곳은 함백산과 소백산이다.

아니다. 함백산 녀석은 누구나 다 봤었다. 다만 이상하다고 느끼지 않았을 뿐.

소백산은 식물 dna 구축 바코드 자료 시료 채집을 위해 올랐다가 거기도 분포하는 걸 내가 발견한 게 맞고.

 

논문 파일은 받았는데 책자는 아직 도착하지 않았다.

It has distinctive morphological characteristics that distinguish it from other congeneric species of Saussurea in Korea; radical leaves persist or withered till flowering, white tomentose leaf beneath, campanulate involucre with browncobwebby hairs, and dark purplish phyllaries with acuminate tips. Saussurea albifolia is a new, endemic species, narrowly restricted to the Korean Peninsula as a consequence of adaptation to alpine or subalpine environments of the Baekdudaegan Area. Among the Korean species of Saussurea, S. gracilis Maxim., S. insularis Kitam., and S. seoulensis Nakai are morphologically similar to S. albifolia by having leaves with white hairs beneath and persistent radical leaves during blooming period. It has been well understood that Saussurea is one of the highly diversified and adaptable groups in Asteraceae and also that the currently recognized species in Korea likely significant underestimates its diversity on the Korean Peninsula. 백두대간산에서 보고되는 신품종인 Saussurea albifolia. 한국의 다른 동속종과 구별되는 독특한 형태적 특징을 가지고 있다. 뿌리 잎은 꽃이 필 때까지 지속되거나 시들고, 총포에는 갈색 거미줄 같은 털이 있고, 짙은 자줏빛이 돈다. Saussurea albifolia는 백두대간 지역의 고산 또는 아고산 환경에 적응한 결과 한반도에 협소하게 제한된 새로운 고유종이다. 잎 뒷면에 흰털이 있고 개화기까지 근생엽이 남아 있어서 백운취, 분취, 은분취와 형태적으로 유사하며 변이의 폭도 넓다. (번역기를 돌려서 대충 정리한 내용이다)
