2010. 11. 1. 한라산 자락 ㅂㅈㅅ 숲.
추분취를 봐야 한다는 내 요청에 해가 기우는 시각 꽃동무는 산사 숲으로 안내를 해 준다.
숲 길로 몇 걸음 내 디뎠을까? 추분취가 눈에 익혀 있던 모습으로 숲 가장자리에서 바람에 흔들거리고 있다.
마치 담배풀 비슷하게 생긴 녀석이다. 꽃은 이미 다 져버리고 열매만 달려 있다.
이 녀석은 한라산의 그늘진 숲 속에서 자라는 다년생 초본이다.
꽃은 8∼10월에 피고 흰색이며 잎겨드랑이에 1개씩 달린다. 총포는 종 모양으로 넓으며 관상화 둘레에 설상화가 2줄로 배열한다.
포 조각은 3줄로 배열하고 긴 타원형이며 바깥 것이 가장 짧다.
설상화의 열매는 수과(瘦果)로 부리가 길지만 관상화에서 생긴 열매에는 부리가 없다
근생엽은 개화기에 없어지고 밑부분의 잎은 도피침형 또는 긴 타원상 도피침형이며 끝이 뾰족하고 길이 7-15㎝, 나비 17-32mm로서
밑부분이 좁아져서 엽병으로 되며 윗부분에 파상의 톱니가 있고 양면에 털이 다소 있다.
중앙부의 잎은 피침형이며 양끝이 좁고 위로 가면서 점차 작아진다
뿌리에서 나온 잎은 꽃이 필 때 없어진다. 줄기의 잎은 어긋나고 거꾸로선 바소꼴로 양 끝이 좁다.
잎의 양면이 짧고 굵은털이 있으며 가장자리에 톱니가 다소 있다.
근생엽은 개화기에 없어지고 밑부분의 잎은 도피침형 또는 긴 타원상 도피침형이며 끝이 뾰족하고 길이 7-15㎝, 나비 17-32mm로서
밑부분이 좁아져서 엽병으로 되며 윗부분에 파상의 톱니가 있고 양면에 털이 다소 있다.
줄기는 높이 50∼100cm이며 곧추 서고, 위에서 가지가 2∼3개 갈라진다.
얼핏 보면 흡사 담배풀 처럼 보인다.
