나문재(명아주과 나문재속) 꽃 Suaeda glauca (Bunge) Bunge

해안 습지를 잔자갈로 메워서 주차장을 만들어 버렸다.

그 곳에 살던 해안 습지 식물들이 살던 터를 잃고 한쪽 구석에서 근근히 생명을 연장하고 있다.

 

바닥에 메말라버려서 이 녀석도 10cm 도 안되는 키로 꽃을 피우고 있었는데, 처음에는 나문재인 줄도 몰랐다.

이 녀석은 높이 30-90cm로 한국산 나문재속 식물 중 키가 가장 크고, 첫 번째 가지의 분지가 일어나는 높이를 비교할 때 가장 높은 곳에서 시작된다. 또한 잎이 매우 많이 달리는데 나중에 잎이 떨어진 잎자국이 많이 남아 있어 지저분해 보이는 것과 꽃자루가 있는 것이 특징이다.

잎은 빽빽하게 어긋나며 다육질이고, 선형으로 길이 1-5cm이다. 꽃은 8-10월에 피며, 잎겨드랑이에 1-3개씩 달리거나 줄기 끝에 이삭꽃차례로 달리며, 녹색이다. 화피는 5장, 수술은 5개이다. 열매는 조금 납작하며, 씨가 1개씩 들어 있고, 화피가 남아 별 모양으로 된다.

 

 

꽃은 윗부분의 잎겨드랑이에서 난 짧은 꽃대 끝에 1~3개씩 달리거나 줄기 끝에 이삭꽃차례로 달리며 녹색이다.

화피편은 5장, 긴 원형 또는 긴 난형이고 밑이 서로 붙는다.

수술은 5개이며 화피와 마주나고 화피보다 길다. 꽃밥은 노란색이다. 암술대는 2개이다.

 

시흥갯골생태공원에서 만났던 녀석이다

해홍나물 가득심어 놓은 곳에 나문재가 혼자 잘 났다.
