나문재(명아주과 나문재속) Suaeda glauca (Bunge) Bunge

잎이 솔잎처럼 가늘어서 `갯솔나물`이라고도 한다.

잎이 육질로 수송나물과 비슷하지만 곧게 크게 자라며 가지를 많이 치고 잎이 밀생하여 다부룩하데 빛깔이 선록색이어서 매우 아름답다.

잎은 총생하며 녹색이고 길이 1~3cm로서 좁은 선형이며 가늘고 다육질이며 연한 녹색이다.

 

 

 

 

 

7~8월에 엽액에 꽃이 달리지만 윗부분의 것은 잎이 없으므로 수상화서같으며 짧은 화병이 있고 녹색이다.

꽃 밑에 달린 3개의 포는 막질이며 꽃받침이 깊게 5개로 갈라지고 열편은 긴 난형이며 수술은 5개로서 꽃받침보다 길다.

자방은 난상 원형이고 끝에 2개의 암술대가 있다.

 

아래 화서의 모습으로 봐서는 암꽃과 수꽃이 따로 있는 것 같은데

하나의 화경에 긴 포엽이 있고 그위에 큰 수꽃 1개와 작은 암꽃 하나가 붙어 있는 듯하다.

암꽃에는  난형인 막질의 하얀 포엽이 확실하게 보인다

5개의 노란 꽃밥을 가진 녀석이 수꽃으로 보이고 사이사이  하얀 암술이 보이는 열매처럼 생긴 작은 녀석이 자방을 가진 암꽃 같다

 

 

나문재의 잎이 해홍나물보다 가늘고 화서는 더 크고 풍부하며 꽃도 해홍나물보다 더 크다
