퉁퉁마디(명아주과 퉁퉁마디속) 꽃 Salicornia europaea L.

 대표적인 염생식물 퉁퉁마디,

통통하게 살이 찐 잘록한 마디가  아주 원시적인 형태로 보이는 명아주과 퉁퉁마디속 녀석이다.

 

전체가 다육질이고, 녹색이지만 가을에 붉은색으로 변한다.

줄기는 곧추서며 마디마다 양쪽으로 퉁퉁한 가지가 갈라지고, 잎은 마디의 윗부분에 마주나며 비늘조각 모양이다.

 

꽃은 가지 윗부분 마디의 양쪽 비늘잎겨드랑이 홈 속에 3개씩 달려 전체적으로 이삭꽃차례를 이루며 녹색이다.

3개의 꽃 중 가운데 것은 양쪽의 것보다 크다. 수술은 2개이며 화피 밖으로 나온다. 암술대는 1개이며 짧다. 

화피는 주머니 모양이고 다육질이며 꽃이 핀 후 가장자리가 자라서 날개처럼 되어 열매를 감싼다. 

 

 

마디의 양쪽 비늘잎겨드랑이 홈 속에 3개씩 달려 전체적으로 이삭꽃차례를 이루며 녹색이다.

3개의 꽃 중 가운데 것은 양쪽의 것보다 크다. 수술은 2개이며 화피 밖으로 나온다. 암술대는 1개이며 짧다.
