바위말발도리(수국과 말발도리속) 열매 Deutzia grandiflora Bunge var. baroniana (Diels) Rehder

몇 년 전 늦은 시기에 꽃을 보고는 오랜만에 이곳을 지나게 되었다.

열매가 있을 것 같아서 강변 절벽부를 뒤지는데 전에는 개체들이 꽤 보였는데 쉽게 눈의 띄지 않는다.

겨우 두어 그루 찾아서 열매를 찾으니 반갑게도 제법 열매가 달려 있다.

 

 

열매 표면에 성모가 있다. 열매보다 긴 선형의 꽃받침 열편은 굽은 채 남아 있다.  

 

 

봄철 잎을 관찰하면

앞면에는 성모가 있어서 파삭거리는 촉감이 있다..

 

매화말발도리에 비하여 중간 아래 부분이 넓은 형태이다

 

잎 앞면과 뒷면 맥 위에 성모와 퍼진 털이 있다.

봄철에는 잘 나타나지만 가을이라 털이 많이 탈락하여 크게 나타나지는 않는다

 

지금도 잎 표면에는 성모가 남아 있는 게 보인다
