바위말발도리(수국과 말발도리속) Deutzia grandiflora Bunge var. baroniana (Diels) Rehder

한탄강까지 달려야 했던 이유가 바로 이 녀석 때문이다.

이 녀석의 자생에 대한 정보를 접하게 된 게 3년 전 쯤이다

작년부터 보려고 하던 녀석을 올해는 놓치지 않으려고 달렸더니 어제 밤에 내린 비에 꽃잎이 다 떨어져 버렸다. 잉~~!!

 

매화말발도리는 주변에서 흔하게 보이는데 바위말발도리는 이렇게 달려야 볼 수가 있으니...

바위말발도리이지만 흙이 있는 곳에도 살고 있고 매화말도리는 바위에 살고 있으니 두 녀석의 이름을 바꾸어야 할 것 같다.

 

 

묵은 가지에서 꽃이 피는 매화말발도리에 비하여 햇가지 끝에서 꽃이 피는 것이 특징인 녀석은

어린 줄기와 꽃받침 잎 뒷면에 털이 밀생하고 있다.

 

  

암술은 3~4개가 꽃이 진 후에도 남아 있다.

 

 

 

 

잎에는 돌기성 거치가 자잘하게 있엇고

 

  

잎 뒷면 맥 위에 성모와 퍼진 털이 있다.

 

 

 

잎 앞면에는 성모가 있어서 파삭거리는 느낌이 있다.

 

바위말발도리는 햇가지 끝에서 2~4송이 꽃을 피우고 있다.
