매자나무(매자나무과 매자나무속) 열매 Berberis amurensis Rupr.

수목원이나 조경수로 심겨진 모습은 본 적이 있지만 자생에서는 보지 못한지라

우연하게 만난 붉은 열매가 어찌나 반갑던지.....

 

	열매	잎	어린 가지	화서
매자나무	6mm 구형 또는 난상 구형	불규칙한 톱니, 뒷면 회녹색	적갈색, 가시 0.5~1cm로 매발톱보다 짧다	다소 느슨하고 화경 2~4cm, 소화경 4~6mm
매발톱나무	1cm 타원형(원주형)	규칙적인 예리한 톱니, 털이 없음	회황색, 가시 1~2cm 세갈래	화서 길이 10cm 소화경 5~10mm  풍성하다

 

 

원주형의 길쭉한 매발톱나무 열매에 비하여 매자나무는 동그란 구형이고

 

 

 

잎 가장자리의 톱니가 불규칙하다
