제주의 해안에는 모두 염주괴불주머니만 보이는 것 같다.
동부 지역에 갯괴불주머니가 있다고는 하던데 본 적은 없다
한라산록 저지대의 녀석도 염주괴불주머니로 판단이 되는데 비록 한라산 자락이라고는 하지만
제주도 자체가 섬이니 해안에서 그리 떨어지지 않은 지역이라 그걸 산괴불주머니라고 할 수는 없을 것이다
열매 모양이 달라서 구분이 쉬운 갯괴불주머니를 제외하고는 비슷한 모습이라
쉽게 암술 주두 모양으로 구분이 되기도 한다
산괴불주머니의 주두는 일자형, 종자는 돌기가 가장자리에만 있고
염주괴불주머니 주두는 v 형, 종자는 돌기가 전체에 있고
선괴불주머니 주두는 넙적한 부삽형
괴불주머니는 일자에 가까운 넓은 U 형, 종자는 돌기가 전체에 다 있다. 는데 괴불주머니는 아직 만나보질 못하였다.
