지금 한창 노랗게 산자락을 꾸미고 있는 산괴불주머니.
꽃차례가 크고 풍성하여서 그리 시선을 받지 못하는 녀석이다.
열매의 모습이 염주처럼 잘록잘록하게 생겨서 혹자는 이 녀석이 염주괴불주머니로 오인을 하는 경우가 있는데
염주괴불주머니는 주로 해안 지역에서 볼 수 있다.
염주괴불주머니와 서식지가 같은 갯괴불주머니는 울릉도에서 한번 만나서 자료를 담아 온 적이 있는데
염주괴불은 종자의 배열이 1줄 배열이고 갯괴불주머니는 2줄 배열이 차이점이라 열매를 보기 전에는 구분이 어렵다
