개가시나무(참나무과)

참가시나무가 있다기에 참나무원을 둘러 봐도 보이질 않고 대신 개가시나무가 눈에 띈다.

이 녀석은 가시나무속 중에서도 잎이 작고 좁으며 잎 자루며 뒷면에 밀모가 많은 점이 특징이다.

제주에서도 만나기 쉽지 않은 멸종위기식물 2급이다.

헌데...우째 자연스레 숲과 어울려 있는 모습이 자생인 것 같기도 하고 아니면 숲 사이에 심어 놓은 것 같기도 하고.....

 

 

 

잎은 호생하며 도피침형 또는 넓은 도피침형이고 첨두이며 넓은 예저이고 길이 5-12cm, 너비 2-3.5cm로서

상반부에 예리한 톱니가 있으며 표면은 털이 없고 뒷면은 황갈색의 성모가 밀포하며 10-14쌍의 측맥이 있다.

엽병은 길이 1cm정도로서 잎 뒷면과 더불어 털이 있다.
