산으로 들어서는 초입 어느 집 앞에 서 있는 산팽나무다. 한 달 정도 되었나? 벌써 열매가 콩알만하다.
여기서 산팽나무 열매를 담고 북쪽 1시간 거리 산에서 자생의 산팽나무 몇 그루를 만났다.
생각지 도 않았는데 자생의 산팽나무를 만나다니...역시 콩알만한 열매를 달고 있었다.
과경은 길이 20-24mm로서 털이 있고 열매는 핵과로 둥근 모양이고 길이 13mm로서 황색으로 10월에 익는다.
잎은 호생하고 원형이며 윗부분은 결각 모양이거나 원형이고 중앙의 결각은 꼬리처럼 길며 밑부분이 넓은 예저이고
길이 12-20cm, 나비 9-16cm로서 윗부분의 톱니는 크며 밑부분에는 톱니가 없고 표면에 연한 털이 있으며
뒷면에 융모가 있고 측맥은 3-4쌍이다.
과지(果枝)의 잎은 좁으며 도란형 또는 넓은 타원형이고
뒷면에 털이 있으며 엽병에도 털이 있다.
이 녀석은 청량산에 자생하는 산팽나무다.
4월 20일 담은 꽃이다.
