설악의 능선에는
인가목과 흰인가목이 함게 자생하는 곳이라서 이렇게 쉽게 비교할 수 있었네요.
흰인가목이 인가목에 비하여 꽃과 잎이 작은 편이었습니다.

꽃은 5-6월경에 새가지 끝에 1개씩 달리며, 화경에 선모가 있고,
화관은 백색으로 지름 2.5-4cm이며, 꽃받침은 길이 10-15㎝로서 좁고 길다.
꽃잎은 5장으로 넓은 도심장형이고, 5-6월에 향기를 발하면서 개화한다.
꽃받침통은 열매가 익을 때 쯤에는 방추형으로 되고 길이 10-20mm로서 끝에 꽃받침이 남아 있다.
바위 너덜 지대와 등산로 주변에 드물게 만나는 흰인가목이니다
잎은 호생하며 7-11개의 소엽으로 구성된 우상복엽이고,
소엽은 타원형, 도란상 타원형이며 길이 1-2cm로서 표면에 털이 없고
뒷면에 털이 있는 것도 있으며 가장자리에 선상의 예리한 톱니가 있고 총엽병에 선모가 있다.
탁엽은 넓은 도피침형으로 가장자리에 선모가 있다.
