용가시나무(장미과 장미속) Rosa maximowicziana Regel

몇 녀 전부터 한 번 봐야지 하던 녀석인데 이런 저런 일정으로 화기를 맞추지 못하고 넘기기만 하였다.

마침 꽃동무가 개화 시기에 한번 모이자는 연락이 있어서 이 녀석을 확인하게 되었다.

 

이 녀석은 돌가시나무도와 비슷한 게 아니라 찔레나무와 매우 흡사했는데

주변의 찔레꽃은 이미 다 졌는데 이 녀석은 한창 꽃을 피우고 있었다.

찔레꽃보다 꽃이 크고 새가지 끝의 산방꽃차례에 성글게 달리고, 꽃자루에 샘털이 있었다.

 

잎은 찔레꽃에 비하여 좁은 타원형 또는 장타원형이고 양면에 털이 없고 

가장자리에 잔 톱니가 있으며 탁엽은 샘털 같은 톱니가 있었다. 

 

찔레나무에 비하여 잎 폭이 좁고 짙은 녹색이며 거치가 자잘하고 더 날카롭다

잎의 폭은 개체에 따라 약간의 변화가 보이는데 이렇게 더 넓은 형도 있었다.

잎자루와 탁엽에 선모가 매우 밀생하는 형도 보여서 갸웃거려진다.

 

탁엽의 거치는 찔레나무에 비하여 아주 자잘한 털에 가까운 형태이다

 

찔레나무에 비하여 꽃차례에 달리는 꽃의 수가 작아서 엉성한 느낌을 준다
