차강노르 호수는 관광지라 사람들이 많이 모여들어서 게르와 리조트가 많이 서 있다.
우리는 호수변 깊숙한 곳에 자리잡은 게르에 숙소를 정하였다.
작년에도 거기서 하루를 묵었더랬는데 개인이 운영하는 5동의 규모의 작은 숙소라 가격이 싸다는 점이 우리가 선택한 이유였다.
몽골에서는 한 동에 얼마가 아니라 1인당 이용료를 받는다. 한 사람이 한 동을 다 이용해도 똑 같다.
게르 한 동에 5개의 침대가 있어서 여자 5명이 한 게르를 차지하고 거기서 식사 준비를 하였다.
남자들은 두팀으로 나누어서 두개듸 동에 숙박을 하였다.
장작은 충분하게 제공해 주는데 밤새 불이 꺼지지 않게 몇 개의 장작을 꾸준하게 넣어 주어야 해서
불을 꺼뜨리지 않으려고 잠을 거의 설쳤다.
장작을 너무 많이 넣으면 뜨거워서 문을 열어 놓아야 할 지경이나 적당하게 춥지 않을 정도로 잘 유지를 해야한다.
새벽에 장작을 넣고 있는데 몇 차례 소나기가 쏟아졌다.
게르 지붕 가운데가 숨구멍 같이 틔여져 있어서 그대로 난로쪽에 비가 그대로 떨어진다.
장작이 젖을까 봐 황급히 옆으로 옮겨 놓고 나서 설핏 잠이 들었는데 비가 곧 그쳐서 다행이었다.
도착하면서 산에서 흘러내리는 작은 도랑물에 빨래도 하고 목욕도 하였다.
자루처럼 생긴 검은 치마 샤워복을 목에서 부터 걸치고 대충 비누칠을 하고 머리를 감고 나니 살 것만 같았다.
이튿날 호수변을 따라 움직이면서 탐사를 하였다. 언덕 위와 호수변에 여러 종류이 새들이 많히 보여서
대장과 몇 사람은 새를 위주로 촬영을 하였는데, 그 사이 풀밭과 습지를 뒤지면서 꽃들을 찾아내는 재미도 쏠쏠하였다.
호수변에 작품처럼 늘어서 있는 현무암 돌탑 아래 덩굴처럼 줄기를 길게벋어 엉겨 있는 지치속 녀석이 꽃장식을 하고 있다.
