몽골식물-골담초속6-가시털골담초(콩과 골담초속) Caragana jubata(Pall.) Poir.

13종의 골담초가 분포한다는 몽골에서 만나본 6번 째 골담초속이다.

고산이나 사막 등 척박한 기후에 자생하는 흔하지 않은 골담초속 녀석이다. 

 

전초가 선인장처럼 기둥형으로 가지가 발달하지 않고 

털로 싸여 있는 듯한 깃꼴잎과 엽축이 낙엽지지 않고 오래 남아서 마치 가늘고 긴 가시처럼 보인다.

김찬수박사의 알타이식물 탐사기에 국명을 가시털골담초로 명명하였다.

 

설련화를 보러 사흘을 달려 갔더니 이 귀한 녀석이 반갑게 맞아준다.

 

 

떨어지지 않고 오래 남아 있는 엽축이 가시처럼 보인다.
