몽울토현삼(현삼과 현삼속) Scrophularia cephalantha Nakai

수 년 전부터 한 번 봐야 하는데 하고 벼르다가

올해 조사 목록에 있어서 위치 정보를 확보하여 대면하게 되었다,

 

개체 크기 자체가 큰개현삼이나 토현삼에 비하여 작은 편이었고 꽃차례도 짧았다.

개체 수는 꽤 많았는데 계속되는 봄가뭄으로 이 녀석도 축 늘어져 있었다.

 

표본 정보를 보면 경북, 경남을 중심으로 분포하는데 경북에서도 몇 군데가 되었다.

꽃동무는 10여 년 전 강원도에서 6월 초에 큰개현삼 꽃이 왜 이리 일찍 폈나?

하고 이상하게 봤던 녀석이 몽울 같다고 찾아 봐야겠다 한다.

 

5월 하순부터 꽃을 피우고 화서는 줄기 끝에 정생하며 꽃차례가 짧다.

토현삼에 비해 꽃차례가 짧고 거의 머리 모양으로 모이며, 잎에 짧은 삼각형의 톱니가 있는 것으로 구별한다.

 

큰개현삼과 근연분류군의 분류학적 재검토

큰개현삼 근연분류군인 좀현삼, 일월토현삼,몽울토현삼에 대한 원기재문과 기준표본을 근거로 외부형태학적 연구를 수행 큰개현삼 : 개화가 7~9월이며 줄기에 7개 이상의 마디를 가지고, 화서는 정단과 엽액에서 발생하고 몽울토현삼: 개확 5~6월이며 줄기에 3~6개의 마디를 가지고, 화서는 정단에만 짧게 발달한다. 변이 폭이 큰 큰개현삼 집단과 달리 좀현삼은 모두 소형화된 집단을 유지하기에 현재의 분류계급을 유지하는 것이 타당하다. 일월토현삼 : 액생화서, 줄기, 잎의 흰털이 주요 식별 형질로 알려져 왔으나 이 형질이 큰개현삼의 형질 변이 폭 내에 포함되어 큰개현삼의 이명으로 처리한다.
