현삼(현삼과 현삼속)

현삼과 종손(?)이다.  더러 이 녀석을 약재로 재배한다.

학교 동네 밭 한구석에 이 녀석이 서 있길래 반가워서 담았다.

꽃은 녹색이고 개현삼처럼 올챙이 입을 뻐끔거리는 형상이다.

 

 

꽃은 8~9월에 피고 황록색이며 취산화서는 짧은 화경과 더불어 길이 1-2cm로서 선모가 많고

화서는 줄기 끝에서 모여 전체가 수상 원추화서로 되며 포가 작다. 꽃받침은 5개로 갈라지고 열편은 난형 또는 난원형이다.

화관은 길이 6-7mm로서 통부가 단지 모양이며 끝이 순형이고 하순이 밑으로 젖혀지고 4개의 수술 중 2개가 길다

 

 

 

잎은 대생하며 긴 난형이고 예두이며 절저 또는 예저이고 길이 5-10cm, 나비 2.5-5cm로서

 가장자리에 뾰족한 톱니가 있으며 엽병은 날개가 약간 있거나 없다.

 

높이 80-150cm이며 사각형이고 가지는 곧게 자라며 털이 없다.
