여우콩(콩과)

완도 옆의 신지도 해안의 야트막한 산을 탐사하는데 길섶에 잘 여문 여우콩이 까만 눈을 반들거리고 있다.

큰여우콩은 경북 남부 지역, 대구나 경기도 등 중부 내륙에서도 서식을 하는데 여우콩은 부산 위쪽에서는 본 적이 없다.

제주도에서는 아무데서나 흔하게 보이며 큰여우콩에 비하여 잎이 두텁고 잎끝이 둔하며 전초에 누른 털이 아주 심하다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

콩깍지의 털도 큰여우콩에 비하여 확연하게 드러난다.

꼬투리 양면에 털이 있으나 종선 이외에는 털이 없는 것도 있으며 익으면 붉은빛이 돌고

2개의 흑색 종자가 들어 있으며 꼬투리가 터진 다음에도 종자가 달려 있다.

 

 

 

잎자루와 잎 뒷면의 털도 여우콩속 중에서 가장 털이 많은 녀석이다.

잎은 호생하고 긴 엽병 끝에 3개의 소엽이 달리며 소엽은 도란형 또는 도란상 마름잎형이고

정소엽은 길이 3-5cm, 나비 2.5cm로서 양면에 털이 많으며 뒷면 맥 위에 누른 빛이 도는 털이 밀생하고

뒷면에 황갈색 선점이 있으며 가장자리가 밋밋하고 끝이 짧게 뾰족해지며 밑부분이 넓은 예저이다
