덩굴팥(콩과 동부속) Vigna umbellata (Thunb.) Ohwi & H. Ohashi,

인도 원산으로 추정되며, 일본, 중국, 필리핀을 비롯하여 열대지역에서 널리 재배한다.

팥과 달리 길게 자라는 덩굴성이며 처음에 곧추서다 윗부분이 덩굴로 되어 길게 자라며, 

길이 100cm 또는 그 이상까지 자란다.

 

옆의 새팥과 꽃과 잎새 모양이 비슷하지만

꽃차례가 더 풍성하고 잎의 크기고 더크고 줄기에 황갈색 퍼진털이 더 심하다
