좀돌팥(콩과 동부속) Vigna minima (Roxb.) Ohwi & H. Ohashi

2011. 9. 10. 병산서원 가는 길.

 

길 주변 숲 자리를 새팥과 좀돌팥이 점령을 해 버렸다.

 

여태까지 제 이름을 찾지 못하고 새팥으로 불리던 녀석.

덕분에 좀돌팥 종자의 제를 확실하게 담을 수 있었다. 볼록하게 튀어 나온 배꼽이 좀돌팥의 특징이다.

 

소포의 길이가 꽃밭침 길이와 거의 같고 잎이 좁은 피침형이다.

화경과 줄기에는 털이 거의 안 보이는데 감고 있는 어린 줄기는 돌콩 줄기라 누런 털이 보인다.

 

 

 

열매꼬투리가 벌써 추수할 때가 되었다.

 

잘 익은 녀석을 열어보니 갈색의 종자가 불만스럽게 입술을 쑤욱 내밀고 있다.

 

 

 

종자의 제(배꼽)이 인디언 원주민 입술처럼 불룩하게 튀어 나왔다.
