새팥(콩과 동부속) Vigna angularis var. nipponensis (Ohwi) Ohwi & H. Ohashi

물수세미 표본 채집지로 기록이 되어 있어서 저수지를 찾았지만

물수세미는 고사하고 부유성 수생식물이라고는 눈 씻고 찾아 봐도 전혀 보이지 않았다.

긴 장마로 수위가 많이 높아져서 모두 물속에 잠긴 걸까?

 

주변을 어정거리다가 새팥이 덩굴을 엉기고 있어서 한참 들여다 봤다.

좀돌팥과 비슷한 녀석인데 포의 길이가 꽃받침 길이보다 더 긴 점이 특징이다

 

새팥은 작은잎이 넓은 난형으로 가장자리에 대개 결각이 있지만

좀돌팥 작은잎이 좁은 피침형 또는 난형으로 가장자리에 결각이 거의 없는 점에서도 구분이 된다.

 

 

팥꽃들은 용골판 2개가서로 붙으면서 구부러져서 꽃이 똬리모양을 만든다

꽃받침보다 포의 크기가 더 길다.
