작년에도 이 녀석을 놓쳤었다. 올해도 찾긴 했는데 이미 꽃은 지고 장각 열매만 가득 익어가고 있다.
갯장대는 제주도, 울릉도 등의 바닷가 모래땅이나 바위틈에서 자라는 십자화과의 두해살이풀인데,
섬에서 자란다고 하여 흔히 섬갯장대로 불려왔다.
잎이 두텁고 물경형 거치를 가지고 있는데, 아랫쪽 잎은 혁질로 빳빳하고 줄기와 잎 양면에 성모로 덮여 있는 녀석이다.
꽃이 크고 풍성한 편인데 검은 현무암과 잘 어울리는 모습이 제법 그림이 되는 녀석이다.
