이름도 참! 어느 구석 거지스러운 데가 없는데 왜 그렇게 이름 붙였을까?
기왕이면 좋은 이름 붙여 주지 그랬다. 뭐 부자덩굴이라고 하믄 안 되남?
어느 조상님 무덤을 둘러 싼 현무암 돌담 위에 거지덩굴 까아만 열매가 계요등 열매와 어우러져서 있다.
잎은 호생하고 장상복엽이며 소엽은 5개이고 난형 또는 긴 난형이며 가장자리에 톱니가 있고
중앙부의 소엽은 소엽병과 더불어 길이 4-8cm, 나비 2-3cm이며 잎 표면에는 털이 없는데 맥 위에 털이 있고 엽병이 길다.
7월에 피는 꽃이다.
