새머루(포도과 포도속) Vitis flexuosa Thunb.

원추화서는 잎과 대생하며 때로는 화경에서 덩굴손이 발달하고 꽃은 단성으로서 6월에 피며 연한 황록색이고 5수이다.

수꽃은 수술 5개와 퇴화한 암술이 1개, 암꽃은 암술 1개와 퇴화한 수술이 5개이다.

 

 

잎은 얕은 톱니가 있는 난상 원형이거나 삼각상 난형이지만

어린 나무의 잎은 아래 그림에서 보듯이 까마귀머루처럼 갈라지기도 한다.

엽질이 부드럽고 난상 원형이거나 삼각상 난형이고 점첨두로 꼬리가 좀 있으며 심장저이고 나비 5-8cm다.

 

 

 

도감상 양면에 털이 없다고 하지만 잎 뒷면 맥 위와 맥액에 털이 있으며 톱니가 드문드문 있다.
