남개연꽃(수련과 개연꽃속) Nuphar pumila var. ozeense (Miki) H. Hara

작은 물통에 조름나무과 함ㅁ께 한창 꽃을 피우고 있다.

벌써 열매도 많이 달려 있는데 주변 바위 위에 수달의 짓으로 보이는 열매 껍질의 잔해가 소복하게 올려져 있다.

이 하천 위쪽에 인공적으로 만들어 놓은 연못이 있는데 인적드문 시간에 수달이 돌아다니는 것을 본 적이 있다.

 

그 녀석은 하천물이 흘러드는 큰 못인 호민지에서도 먹이 사냥으로 자맥질을 하는 것을 가끔 마주치곤 했기에 

이 하천에서 남개연 열매를 야미야미한 녀석이 그 녀석 말고는 범인을 추정하기 어렵기 때문이다. 

근데 수달이 물고기 같은 육류만 섭취할텐데....
