가시연꽃(수련과 가시연속) Euryale ferox Salisb.

가시연꽃이 피었다는 정보를 준 꽃동무 덕분에 처음 대면하는 가시연꽃과 한참 놀아주었다.

큰 저수지나 습지 안쪽에 꽃을 피우는 녀석이라 내 작은 카메라로는 어림도 없었지만

이곳은 가까이서 볼 수 있어서 다행하게도 내 꾸진 카메라로도 담을 수가 있었으니...정말 가시가 엄청나기 억세었다.

 

가시연은 일년초로 알고 있는데 그 위세를 보면 일년초라는게 도저히 믿어지지 않는다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

오리알처럼 동그란 녀석이 보이길래 꽃봉오리인가 싶어서 만져보다가 성질 사납게 찌르는 바람에 깜짝 놀랐다

잎이 피기 직전에 올라온 어린 모습이었다.
