산유자나무(산유자나무과 산유자나무속)

2021. 7. 1. 남도. 

 

제주도를 제외한 남도에서 산유자나무를 만나긴 처음인 것 같다.

생물자원관의 표본을 보니 거문도 보길도 통영 등에서 채집한 자료가 있다.

 

줄기의 억센 가시는 위협적이지만 붉은 기운이 도는 어린 순이 귀엽다.

넓은 난형의 잎은 혁질로 표면에 광택이 있고 자잘한 톱니가 있다. 

 

원래 한 녀석의 흔적을 찾아서 왔는데 결국 허탕을 치니 

기운이 빠지고 더위에 지쳐서 더 움직이기 싫었다.

일단 위치는 알아두었으니 내년에 도전을 해야겠다.

 

1박을 하면서 찬찬히 둘러보고 싶었지만 일정이 있어서 급히 둘러보고 철수를 하였다.
